Vermont composer / double bassist Evan Premo brings Hans Christian Andersen's tale 'Thumbelina' to life through this musical setting. Scored for soprano, piccolo, flute, alto flute, clarinet, bass clarinet, bassoon, and double bass, the piece makes careful use of each instrument’s unique qualities to express the rich characters found in Andersen’s tale of a tiny girl who goes on a big adventure.
